USA Today bestselling author Stephanie Rowe delivers a brand new series set in Rogue Valley, Wyoming, home to the Stockton brothers, a clan of fiercely loyal and honorable men, and the women who touch the hearts of these rugged, loner cowboys.
The only reason rancher Chase Stockton and his brothers survived their brutal childhood was because they protected each other. Nothing will ever come between them…until a sudden tragedy calls in a life debt Chase can't ignore, forcing him to make a choice that could destroy the very bonds that hold his family together.
Mira Cabot has never asked for help, but when a sexy, protective cowboy makes her an offer she can't afford to refuse, she finds herself on her way to Wyoming to be the shotgun bride of a man she has every reason…and no reason…to trust.
The sizzling connection between Mira and Chase turns a rescue mission into something dangerously addictive, one that could either heal two broken hearts, or shatter them forever.

I loved this story. True romance, mixed with action, humor, and love. I don't usually buy my books, but this series is worth it.
Fun small town romance
Extremely fun, sweetly sexy, emotionally engaging, passion filled romantic adventure that includes a surprise baby twist..
Chase Stockton and his brother have an unshakeable bond formed by surviving a their brutal childhood together. Mira Cabot is a sassy, strong and independent woman that never asks for help, until now. The question is will Chase's need to protect Mira be the one thing that shakes the bond between him and his brothers? Enjoyed this heart pounding and exciting journey.
This is my first book by Stephanie Rowe and I really enjoyed her writing. This was well written and the characters were mature. It's a good story, but I did have a hard time with the constant back and forth between the main characters. Both Mira and Chase have been let down by the opposite sex their whole lives except for one person. Their mutual best friend who recently died and brought them together.
Chase and his brothers have been treated horribly by every woman that came into their dad's life. The more the women that treated his father bad, the worse he then treated his sons. It was a vicious cycle that Chase swore he would never repeat for himself. Despite never wanting to get involved with a woman, he couldn't leave Mira at the mercy of his best friends dad knowing he was just as abusive as his own.
Mira has had to witness her best friend get constantly abused by his father growing up. Her family stepped in when they could to help him until one fateful car accident stole her fathers life and put her mother in critical care for the remainder of her days.
Because of Mira having to quit school to go home and take care of her mom, her fiance at the time dumped her. Years later with her mom passed away and her best friend following not long after, she no longer has faith in men. When Chase offers her protection against her best friends dad, she's not in a place to turn him down.
Because of these two fighting their own demons, they are constantly battling their attraction to each other and afraid to open themselves up to the possible hurt. I wish we could have gotten less of the pushing away and more of them exploring their new relationship. However, I was very happy with the ending.
This book will appeal to the readers who love that push/pull relationship. ARC provided by NetGalley.
