New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh continues her Hard Play series with a sweet, sexy romance featuring big, fat, OTT weddings, a meddling grandma, and a too-serious hero who needs to be unbuttoned…
Nayna Sharma agreed to an arranged marriage in the hope it would heal the fractures in her beloved family… only to realize too late that a traditional marriage is her personal nightmare. Panicked, she throws caution to the winds, puts on the tiniest dress she can find, and ends up in the arms of a tall, rough-edged hunk of a man who has abs of steel—and who she manages to mortally insult between one kiss and the next.
Abandoned as a child, then adopted into a loving family, Raj Sen believes in tradition, in continuity. Some might call him stiff and old-fashioned, but he knows what he wants—and it’s a life defined by rules… yet he can’t stop thinking about the infuriating and sexy woman who kissed him in the moonlight then disappeared. When his parents spring an introduction on him, the last woman he expects is her. Beautiful. Maddening. A rule breaker in the making.
He’s all wrong for her. She’s all wrong for him. And love is about to make rebels of them both.
I fell in love with the main characters in the first book of the series, Cherish Hard, just based on the tidbits included in that story. I love this book and how much it pulled me into the beautiful Indian family culture & heritage. I love the growth of all characters, this is one of my new faves for Nalini Singh! I hope she extends this series, it is wonderful!
Love, Love, Love! Great story. Fun, romantic and an awesome read. I've decided that I am calling a "holiday" whenever a new Nalini book is released. That way I can just stay home and read!
Captivatingly, Sexy! This story was so mesmerizing and captivating, taking the reader on a journey through the custom of arranged marriages in the Indian Culture. Beautifully written, full of family, traditions, culture, respect and love. I loved every minute of it.
Nayna Sharma has been paying for the sins of her older sister, Madhuri, who had brought shame and scandal to her family. So Nayna did everything absolutely right, or the way her family wanted. She received a good education, obtained a good job after college and now it was time to find a suitable match so that she could get married. She had convinced herself that this was okay because she didn’t know how to flirt, but when you are twenty-eight and you haven’t even been kissed that sucked. So she had decided she needed to be bad if it killed her.
Raj ran his family business and wanted that traditional Indian family upbringing for his children. But he also didn’t just want to be an acceptable choice. He wanted someone with whom he could create a family of their own. That she wouldn’t mind dedicating herself to loving and raising.
When these two meet at a party their chemistry and attraction is intense, but overcome by too much too soon Nayna runs away. Neither knows how to contact the other. But as fate should have it. Raj shows up at Nayna’s as a possible match for an arranged marriage. But Raj has his work cut out for him. As he will have to give and take bit by bit to capture the most fascinating woman he has ever met. Will they get their HEA? You will want to read this to find out. Don’t let this story pass you by. Highly Recommended!
