Publisher Description
Meet the newest expansion team--The Portland Icehawks. They're a group of guys with chips on their shoulders out to make their former teams regret letting them go. They won't stop until they win it all, but what they haven't counted on is love being part of that equation.
As a thirty-five-year-old hockey player, I've learned a hard lesson in loyalty. I was supposed to be a lifer for the Chicago Tigers, but the team left me out in the cold, choosing to protect younger players in the expansion draft. The next thing I know, I'm in a strange city with a fledgling team, and my estranged wife has served me with divorce papers. Not the best way to start a new chapter in my career.
As the team struggles to find its identity and win games, I struggle with my role as team captain, proving I'm not too old to play at a high level, and getting beyond my failed marriage. All this is complicated by an undeniable attraction to the owner's granddaughter. As the team racks up the losses, I seek solace with the one woman whose very presence could destroy what's left of my career.
Sometimes love is comfortable and subtle. Other times it hits you with the force of a puck to the jaw. I've never experienced the latter until now, and I can't stay away regardless of the consequences.

Hockey & Coffee
Rebounding was a fun start to a new Hockey series by Jami Davenport.
Overall I liked the story & the characters but there were times I was yelling at Everly to take a stand for herself.
I will be looking forward to the next book in the series.
I received this ARC free from the author. The review was voluntary. The opinions my own.
Great new series
This is the first book in a brand new series about a new team and by new team I mean one just starting out. Its a bunch of misfit hockey players in Portland, Oregon who end up on the same hockey team.
This first book stars Dash, who is a divorced long time player who is the first Captain of the team. He is really great guy and when he meets Everly who runs the team coffee shop well lets say the attraction is mutual.
However, Everly is the granddaughter of the teams owner and she is the black sheep of her family. Among the stars in her family she is the misfit. When she needs a job, her family lets her run a team owned coffee shop but they make her swear to never get involved with a coach or hockey player. So when she meets Dash and likes him so much, they can never be more than friends.
This story centers on a very forbidden romance between Dash and Everly. Both Everly and Dash were awesome characters with huge hearts who life has not been kind to. I loved watching them become friends and be supportive of each other despite their forbidden romance.
This is really great start to a new hockey series and its really different than the multitude of hockey romances out there. I loved the story because it was so different and I loved Everly and Dash and was rooting for them throughout the book.
I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
