Of late, a lot of research activity is going on in medicinal plants in different parts of the country. Due to shortage of co-coordinated efforts to highlight the major achievements and shortfalls, desired level of awareness among common public is not noticed. This volume with emphasis on recent advancements in genetic improvement, production technology, prospects and problems of trade and commerce is intended to over come that lacuna.
