Recipe for a Homecoming
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a wonderful addition to the series, The Stirling Ranch! There are some characters from the prior story that make multiple appearances here. While it is a part of the series, you don't have to read it to thoroughly enjoy this one.
Veronica (Roni) comes to Butterscotch Ridge to help take care of her elderly grandmother. She used to visit her when she was growing up. Roni is getting over some tragic events in her life and being back in BR is a wonderful thing. Mark Sterling is the quintessential romeo-type cowboy. Recently he has starting to feel like something is missing in his life as all of his friends are paired up with someone. One day he is asked by his sister (Sam) to join her for lunch at the local bar. To his amazement, she is sitting with a girl from the past. Someone that he has thought of over the years, Roni.
These two have much to overcome to get to their HEA and it was a joy to see how they overcame those obstacles. This story was written in a dual POV format. Seeing into the characters' thoughts really help me to get that glimpse of them to fully understand them so much better.
This is a slightly sexy story with no much detail in those scenes.
