Publisher Description
There were shadows I was running from.
Ones that haunted and taunted.
Ones that made it so I had no choice but to disappear.
I’d spent years hiding from the world.
My little island haven, the only assurance of safety.
It all changed the moment he showed up at my door.
The hint of pain in his eyes told me that something haunted him, too.
And I couldn’t help but be drawn closer.
But finding the person I needed most came with risks I never expected.
And when our ghosts find us again, neither of us may make it out this time.
Customer Reviews
Not as good as the first books
I have loved the series but I don’t find this book as good as the others. The storyline of trusting and romance moved too fast. There seemed to be more graphic scenes in this one as well. There wasn’t enough build up and back story.
A must read!
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What a beautiful book.
This is one of Catherine’s best book.
This story is a beautiful romance but, also a wonderful suspense triller.
Love Shay and Brody. They were perfect for each other.
Shay..omg love her so much. She was so strong and at the same time so vulnerable. I wanted to protect her at all cost.
Love Brody. He was so protective of Shay and pushed her to go out of her confort zone.
This book is my favorite of this series. I highly recommend all Catherine’s book, but this series is a must read.
Catherine Cowles very BEST!
OMG! Can I marry Brody next? Catherine Cowles has done it again. Reckless Refuge is breathtaking in every single word. This is the next installment in her Wrecked series and brings to life the love story of Shay and Brody. Shay has one of the most unique and heartbreaking back stories I've ever read. All I can tell you is how the love of Brody gives her the courage to overcome her past is just beautiful to read. There is a great suspenseful thread running through the story to keep you on the edge of your seat and a happily ever after to make it all worthwhile. All in all, I just loved how I felt while reading and was reminded yet again just why I love Catherine Cowles writing so much.
