Setting out for the adventure of a life time Dahlia Moore eagerly joins her parents in fulfilling their dream of being missionaries on the exotic coast of Africa. Sure of all that her future holds, she is met with unexpected trials that cause her to question everything she has ever believed in.


She must choose to trust in the One who has never abandoned her.


When she ends up in the home of a Portuguese merchant, as a bride purchased for his eldest son, Dahlia finds herself torn between her fight for freedom and the unexplainable connection she feels towards her intended. Though Aleixo Santos seems as unwillingly to wed as she, neither heart can deny the calling towards something greater. Together they must search for hope, stand on faith, and choose to let love reclaim all that was lost.


Author Biography:

Emily Hamsher is a woman after God’s own heart who loves to read and even more so loves to write. With a Master’s degree in Education, who is also an Ordained Minister; she is pursuing a career in full time ministry as an Associate Pastor in a small town in Florida. At 22 years old she is only at the beginning of her author’s journey and seeks to open minds, inspire hearts, and create new worlds with her writing.
