It was ok.
There were a couple of typos. The ending was somewhat disappointing, but I must admit that the book was interesting enough that I read the whole thing. However, I did skip a lot of dialogue because i felt it was useless. The genere is more fiction than romance.
Not reading more
So far the mH and fH are not likable, not principled etc, so feels like a run away car you hope won’t crash but your not holding your breath. Male lead, not a man who leads but not principled but self destructive and cruel out of boredom. Female lead, not principled, lacking in self respect wimpy and self pitying. Other characters also majorly emotionally damaged and unprincipled. In as such, I don’t care about them finding themselves etc, I don’t respect them from their actions and don’t want to see their train wreck revival of character. Even free it was a challenge to finish this book with undesirable leads. So I won’t invest more in this series. And FYI , I do read this author, I just don’t think this is her best.
Life experience
This is an interesting cross over from Tarker’s Hollow. It gives us a look into Westley Wortington’s world. Originally, he comes off as self centered. As time goes on we find out there is more to him than meets the eye. It takes a near death experience to put things into perspective for him.
