Improvements Galore!!

I've read earlier works of Mr. Swallow, and found his writing style not to my liking. It was clear at the time of reading that his style needed refinement at the very least, but to my surprise I found this piece of work to be a dramatic improvement. The overall theme and flow of the main storyline was very well done, and just as importantly, very well written. Upon the surface one might think that the story is relatively basic. You have your heroes and bad guys battling it out, fighting to the last to save the day, but this is just one of several battles being fought in this novel, Some are extremely obvious while others are a little more subtle. To add a deeper theme, or to be more precise, a "human" theme to the overall story takes a lot of thought, and dare I say quite a bit of talent. The author does this very well, and although the theme is familiar, I found it appropriate, and only improved the recipe for a good story. Well done "cousin" James, or should I say "brother" James! 😉
