Well worth it…
A couple of months ago, I happened upon a little Youtube channel called “The Critical Drinker”. I thoroughly enjoyed the content and found myself not only laughing but also how well thought out and articulating the Drinker was in his opinions.
During one of the live streams followed by a video for aspiring authors I was excited to learn that the Drinker was in fact a published author with what seemed as an exciting series.
I immediately bought and finished this first instalment and well, let’s just say I have bought the second one and as it seems and what I have come to learn of Will, I should probably just buy all of them and continue onwards.
The characters, especially Ryan, Anya, Munro and Cain are intriguing and interesting and the story is captivating and very creative. The support characters really help to elevate and bring a great balance to the whole plot and nothing in the story felt like it was forced in or just some fodder for story sake.
I could picture every location and scenario with some quick but well and perfectly described wording that he uses.
Will did a fantastic job to keep me invested in a story you could tell he put a lot of time and effort in.
I would love to see a movie/series adaptation but not without Will involved in the creative control at least. We need more of this on our screens nowadays.
Thank you again for a brilliant read and I reckon I’ll be back after book two…anyways, that’s all I’ve got for today, go away now!
