At Redstone Elementary, Apple technology helps deliver the school's stated commitment of promoting academic excellence in every child, fostering a partnership with the community, and providing a safe, supportive environment using research to inform its teaching practice. Its one-to-one iPad student program helps make the school's mission of reaching every child every day become reality. Students use iPads throughout the school day. From reading digital books at their reading and interest level to showing their understanding using creativity apps, students undertake and demonstrate learning in personalized ways. Students set their own learning goals and use apps and online resources to achieve those goals and reach new understandings to help them personalize next steps. Pages, Keynote, Numbers, iMovie, Garageband, iPhoto, and other apps transform academic work, giving students a variety of media to express their voices across the curriculum. Students can also spend time with experts, using FaceTime to communicate with authors, chat with gemologists, brainstorm with engineers, and solve problems with scientists.
