Publisher Description

From bestselling author Suzanne Enoch—a governess is tempted by the forbidden passion of a seductive earl in this blistering romance in the With This Ring series

A governess must never be alone with a man (her reputation mustn't have even a hint of scandal). She never questions her employer's commands (even when he's tempting her to forsake respectability for desire?). She must never, ever fall in love with someone above her station (especially a rake—no matter how devastating his kisses may be) . . .

If it weren't for that unfortunate incident at her last position, Alexandra Gallant wouldn't now be forced into the employ of Lucien Balfour. The sinfully attractive earl hired her to teach his young cousin, but his seductive whispers and toe-curling kisses suggest he has something far less respectable in mind . . . And that will never happen. For although Lucien seems determined to teach her about pleasure, she has a few lessons to teach him about love!

Reforming a Rake

Of all the wonderful stories that Suzanne has written - and I have read them all! - this one captured my heart like no other.
At first I thought it was just going to be another one of those tales: Wicked rake is attracted to prim governess; governess is attracted to wicked rake despite herself; naughty things happen - LOTS of naughty things - and somehow they fall in love, marry, and live happily ever after.
But as I kept reading, things started happening. An unexpected twist here, a deepening character there - and suddenly I was in the middle of one of the loveliest, most poignant romances that I have ever read, by any author, Georgette Heyer included!
Well done, Suzanne. Thank you for giving us the gift of this story. It has warmed my heart.
P.S.Just one more thing:
I await the Epilogue, in which we get to read the final scene about the paintings!

Reform this book

Ugh, what happened. Such a good book until halfway thru. Then all the characters did a 180 and all their personalities and motives changed. The h was sensible and witty until she developed feelings for the H-then they both went to crap. She became unreasonable and dumb and had a list of reasons why she couldn’t marry the H. Then he waved a magic wand and made all the problems disappear and she still said no to marrying him. Terrible, abrupt ending. Don’t bother
