Regulus: The Forgotten Weapon is the complete report on Chance Vought’s Regulus I and II guided missiles, the weapon that paved the way in the fields of inertial navigation, missile guidance, and impact accuracy. It follows flight test and development from 1950 through 1958 and covers deployment aboard aircraft carriers, cruisers, and submarines. Appendices include detailed discussions of the missile’s guidance systems, nuclear warheads, flight operations, and production summaries.
