Publisher Description

She made some killers mad. Good thing it’s his job to catch them. But can he keep her safe when sparks fly?

Nell Whitby sees beauty in everything. So when her muse sends her straight into someone trying to carjack an off-duty cop, the children’s book author doesn’t skip a beat before ramming the idiot with her bike. But after the cute officer rocks up to take her statement, she’s shocked when somebody tries to gun them both down.

Alex Baker craves the sound of silence. Born into a huge and hectic family, the homicide detective relishes closing a case and coming home to a peaceful house… without loud children. But when a gorgeous blur of a cyclist barrels into the world’s biggest fool and unleashes all hell, he knows he’s the only one capable of keeping her alive.

Discovering her unrealized connection to a rising wave of gang strife, Nell is stunned she got a little too close to the head of a crime mob who was recently found sleeping with the fishes. And now that Alex has sworn to protect the inevitable kid-magnet, he has no idea how to pluck the woman he’s fallen hard for out of the sights of a lethal line of hitmen.

With bullets flying and secrets spreading, can they survive to see a forever together?

Action packed and laugh out loud funny.

This book is just good clean fun. Alex and Nell have chemistry in spades, but the New Orleans wise guys won't let them have any time to themselves. Must read, Let's get Baked!

Needs a Copy Editor

I read a previous work by this author and enjoyed it, so I decided to read another book by her. Although I've not finished reading it, I am dismayed by the typos. Also, the terminology is "statute of limitations" not "statue."
