Religion and Ceremonies of the Lenape

The Lenape Indians had been living on the land that would become Pennsylvania long before William Penn was granted his charter. Penn managed to maintain a positive relationship with the Lenape. Unfortunately, the Walking Purchase of 1737 chased the Lenape out of their land, and their good relationship ended.
