Remembering Jersey Shore

For well over a century, the lure of scenic beaches and ocean waves has drawn visitors to the Jersey Shore. Presidents kept summer homes here to escape the pressures of office. Other visitors decided to stay, often building ornate, Victorian mansions that today are as much an intrinsic part of the area’s charm as the lighthouses that guided ships to safe harbors.
