Replacement of Information Technologies and Sustainable Development in the Ukraine‪.‬

Abstract The paper develops a theoretical background for modelling and optimization of the impact of information technologies on the sustainable economic development and consumption of key resources (energy, water, environmental quality) in Ukraine. The current state-of-the-art, modeling objectives, investigation methods, necessary modelling stages, and possible practical outcomes are described, and some priority problems are outlined. The discussed investigation techniques include system analysis, vintage capital models, the theory of technological change, the economics of networks, optimization methods, market surveys, and numeric simulation.
