Complete with tips from celebrities and successful businesspeople, such as the cofounder of Warby Parker and the owner of Magnolia Bakery, the author covers job interview etiquette, the art of making a good impression, the best way to handle a first day on the job, dealing with co-workers and office politics, socializing at work, handling social media at work, not losing it at work events, business travel etiquette, and workplace relationships. This advice is interspersed with Modern Manners Guy quizzes and tips from celebrities. While there aren't many new ideas here, Frieman's cheerful and energetic voice will win over readers, and confused young professionals may find that Frieman is the one to remind them not to end up with a lampshade on their heads at the office holiday party.

An awesome guide to what NOT to do
I was skeptical about reading this book. I mean, who doesn't know that you should send a thank you note after an interview or that you shouldn't get wasted at an office happy hour? But after reading this super funny, insightful guide, I am not skeptical anymore - and I'm really glad that I picked it up. Richie Frieman's advice is spot on - and doesn't have a whiff of snobby Emily Post-type manners rules. I loved the quotes from bigwigs like Barbara Corcoran and Steve Guttenberg and Richie's tips were perfect practical advice for my generation (aka, the Gen X and Gen Y). I also loved the quizzes and the cartoons (the one with the email break-up made ma laugh out loud!). This book is awesome!
