Rescued by the Firefighter

Megan Kendall has no problem knowing what she wants.

Unfortunately, firefighter Cole Dawson seems determined to decide she shouldn't want him.

At thirty-six, Cole is thirteen years older than the twenty-three-year-old kindergarten teacher who walked into the Stonebridge firehouse with a class full of five-year-olds and turned his carefully ordered life upside down. Megan is smart, independent, completely capable—and far too tempting for a man who knows exactly how complicated an age gap can become.

So, when attraction turns into a scorching kiss, Cole does the responsible thing.

He backs away.

Megan has other ideas.

She'll let Cole decide whether thirteen years matters to him. What she won't let him do is decide what it means for her.

Soon Cole is showing up at her school, meeting her parents, learning exactly how she takes her coffee, and discovering that protecting Megan doesn't mean standing between her and her choices. It means trusting her enough to stand beside her.

And when Cole Dawson finally stops fighting what he wants, Megan discovers just how possessive one very determined firefighter can be.
