Rescued by the Moon Watcher

Fleeing an arranged marriage meant to control her magic, Ayla escapes deep into the winter mountains, searching for a place whispered about in quiet witch circles, a valley protected by ancient leyline power.

The cabin she finds looks abandoned.
But something is already watching over it.

A great wolf with pale, moonlit eyes keeps a gentle vigil from the treeline. He repairs broken steps, leaves firewood by her door, and guards her through the storms with a patience that feels older than the mountains themselves.

As the snow deepens and the valley awakens, Ayla begins to understand the truth: the wolf is a shifter guardian, bound to the leyline that runs beneath the land… and bound now to her.

When he reveals his human form, quiet, tender, and wholly devoted, Ayla must decide whether to keep running from the life she escaped, or embrace the unexpected safety and love she has found in the mountains.
