My name is Cam, and I’m the head vampire of the Chicago coven. I haven’t fed in far too long because I’ve been too busy tracking the latest threat to my city.
At the worst possible time, I meet a human woman who hates vampires. I saved her from a couple of human thugs, but she doesn’t see the irony in that scenario.
I’m determined to prove that vampires aren’t all bad guys just because we drink blood and prefer moonlight to the sun, but before I can, the actual bad guys ambush and kidnap us both.
Now, the only way we’re going to get out of this mess alive (as alive as some of us can ever be, at any rate), is if I feed from her.
Exactly what I swore I wouldn’t do.
The Blood Courtesans Series, where vampires are real, rich, powerful--and hungry.
Blood is bought and sold like fine wine, and the best blood goes to the highest bidder.
It's not supposed to be about love ... until it is.
If you haven't checked out the rest of the Blood Courtesan series, you should, starting with REBORN, Myra's story.
I’m obsessed with this series and genre
I have read several of these books and couldn’t stop reading each delightful book until I finished. Then I bought them all. This book was one of my favorites. Sexy vampire with a good heart and a strong willed feisty woman that caught his interest immediately. The action was nerve wrecking but funny at times. I know that sounds strange. But the books so far are hot romantic full of feisty spice and humor. This was one of my favorites until the end. I had in my mind such a romantic loving end that was building through the book. But I am trying not to ruin this for anyone as this is a good read. POSSIBLE SPOILERS ahead. The ending left me with no this wasn’t the way I wanted it in my mind. I expected either of them to either fight for the other or go to them and profess their love. Don’t get me wrong until the last chapter this book was delightful. And it’s just my opinion but the last 4 pages I had so different in my mind. Just the 2 of them No one else. No feeding or sex but the 2 of them. I’m the type but if the book starts with just the 2 that’s the way I want it to end. But this is my opinion. The book still is a wonderful well written book that had me from the start. I just wanted the ending in my mind. But that’s just me. I’m not the author. It would have been a 5 star book if not for that. But it’s a personal opinion and not reflective of the author not writing a good book.
