A valuable guide for anyone wishing to take their image making to the next level.
I have been a long time listener to Jeff Curto's HIstory of Photography and Camera Position podcasts. When I heard the original podcasts on Gestalt, I immediately set out to apply these principals to my photography. My image making has dramatically improved as a result.
Having this information in ibook format makes it an easy reference book that I can pick up and refresh my knowledge at any time.
With any camera, and the information in this book one can easily learn how to employ these principals to their photography. Plus, you really do not even need a camera. One can easily learn to SEE images where Gestalt Theory would apply. Just like a photographer should strive to become familiar with their camera's operation so it becomes second nature, so should learn to see where the principals of Gestalt in the world about them. This book provides the basis for learning how to see differently.
Thanks Jeff for writing this great book.
