Resting Trumpets

If invited to join a feast-keeping group, individuals may find the experience to be uplifting. It can be spiritually thought-provoking to be surrounded by passionate, earnest people seeking the Lord with all their hearts and following their convictions as they observe the Old Testament Feast Days. However, are such gatherings, in observance of ancient Israelite festivals, mandated by Scripture for Christians today?


The question each of us must prayerfully ask is, “What saith the Scripture?” The purpose of this writing is to seek answers from the scriptures concerning the origin, observance, and the pre-Calvary and post-Calvary functions of the Feast Days given to the Israelites. While it is not intended to be an exhaustive study, it does provide scriptural guidance regarding the question of required observance of the Old Testament Feast Days.
