Wow!
I was excited to see a story written by the victims of Manon's family. The truth told in these pages is informative yet touching.
Surprising great read!
I love true crime books, so when I saw this one I thought I should check it out. I've read Vincent Bugliosi's Helter Skelter several times, so I was fascinated to find out the other side to the story.... The victims' family. I was not disappointed. Reading what went through Sharon's family's minds and hearts throughout their lives kept me coming back to read more and often late into the night. More fascinating than any true crime book, I felt a small amount of their pain and anger. The book is well documented and stays true to form. Again, great read!
This is a MUST read!
I did not know what to expect when I bought this book. However, it is a sad, poignant memorial to those who died that summer and the families they left behind. Doris and PJ Tate kept their daughter's memory alive by his work at first in investigating the crime to Doris' eventual work as a victim's advocate. I could not put the book down. It is beautifully written.
