Retcon

A young scientist, part of a secret research program into time travel and Cornell university, believes the program's leader, her mentor, is wrong about a core conception of the science, and she sets out to prove it—whatever may happen as a result.

"Screaming in Circles" is the ninth story in the Retcon story mosaic-the final story in the first movement. In Retcon, each of the stories can be read on their own, but when they are read together, they tell a larger story as well: the narrative of a secret time travel research program at Cornell University, and the secrets they uncover.
