The only sad thing about this book is that I was not one of the characters living it. A marvelous masterpiece, not necessarily from a literary perspective, but from a human perspective. The story makes you wish you could live and be a part of Lake Gone Away.
Gone Away Lake
Gone Away Lake was my favorite book as a child & I was able to buy it recently. When looking for it I discovered there was a Sequel! I had no idea. The make believe village of Creston & Gone Away Lake are dear to my heart & I am thrilled to be able to share them with my children. Thank you Elizabeth Enright for creating the world of my dreams.
