Publisher Description
From acclaimed author, Renee Bernard, known for her "sinfully sexy"* romances comes the first in a tantalizing series of erotic passion set in Victorian London...
Galen Hawke desires nothing but revenge against the woman who betrayed his dearly departed friend. Instead of mourning, the loss of her fiance, Miss Haley Moreland is merrily celebrating her upcoming nuptials to another man. Now, Galen has one mission: to seduce Miss Moreland and enslave her heart. And when she is completely his, he will destroy her...
With her family on the brink of financial ruin, Haley knows she should be grateful for her providential betrothal. But then she meets the dangerously handsome Galen, whose wicked touch makes her long to abandon all logic. If Galen's promises are sincere, the match to a family of noble blood and strong financial accounts could be the remedy her family desperately needs. And if he isn't sincere, one last chance to taste the passion he ignites before settling into a life of convention is equally alluring...

Amazing!
Great read! I enjoyed the author's suspense regarding Jon and his relationship with Haley. I can't wait to read the other books in the series to discover what will happen to the other Jaded members.
Review
The story overall was good.
My big complaint with this book is that the story drug on and on and on and on and on, then suddenly ended. In the last chapter they got engaged standing in the rain and mud. Then in the epilogue, Galen had just returned from his honeymoon (wherever it was) and was talking to his friends.
The writer should move the story along by removing the filler parts in the story. Their wedding should have been included in the book, since that is where the story was headed from the beginning. The readers were cheated of the happily ever after moment of the wedding, wedding breakfast, etc.
Also, did Galen pay off all of her father’s debts? The writer sent her Aunt Alice off to live with a friend after their departure from London. The writer wrote her to be a strong woman. She would not have abandoned her family like that.
This book could have been really great! I think the author should have spent more time on the storyline and less time on focusing on the sex scenes.
The Jaded gentleman collection
I love the entire collection. If only you could have them in a full audiobook collection would be great. I want to be able to listen to them at work.
