Ricky longs for a home. When disaster strikes, Ricky loses everything. He might even lose hope,

“It can be helpful for small children to have an opportunity to talk to an adult about disaster but this can be difficult to do directly. This picture book was written to give caregivers a non-threatening way to listen to children talk about their experience with the 2011 tsunami in Japan. Over 5,000 copies were distributed throughout the Tohoku region and the book became a 2011 Japanese library recommendation. Hundreds more copies were donated to school and public libraries throughout the disaster region.”
