History has a funny way of repeating...Charis DeVearux has fought tooth and nail to get to where she is in her MC, Black Hearted Bastards. She thinks the calm Friday morning is going to be just another normal day. Divvy out the jobs amongst the members. Grab lunch with her somewhat boyfriend, Crusher. Look over the books for the club's finances. Simple. Repetitive. Normal, at least for her. That is until a phone call from her estranged aunt on her father’s side calls her with unexpected, world-turning news.Now Charis will have to pick up the pieces that had been left in the wake of the tragic events. All while maintaining her stronghold within the MC. However, as she’s going through the motions of a grieving daughter she comes across information to counter what the police had told her. Charis will be sent on a roller coaster ride of theories, misunderstandings, and lies as pressure mounts for her to rebuke her position within BHB MC. With the help of the club and some not so close friends, she will have to do a little detective work to discover the truth behind her father’s death. The journey won’t be an easy one but getting to the bottom of the situation will settle her guilty heart from the damage she had done in the past. Will Charis find out that the facts aren’t what they appear to be? Or will she have to suffer the fate of never knowing what really happened to her father?
