From the moment Quinn Montgomery sat behind her first snare and cymbal set, she was destined for fame and glory. As Hush Note’s infamous female drummer, she sets the rhythm for the band’s chart-toppings hits. When people tap their feet to their music, it’s to her pulse.
Quinn is content to live in a world away from her family and the cage of her youth. Her only regret is leaving Graham Hayes behind without a goodbye. No matter how many sold-out stadiums she plays, no matter how many crowds sing her songs, his voice haunts her when the music stops.
When a family tragedy forces her to return home to Montana, she plans to leave the second she’s paid her respects. But seeing Graham again turns her life upside down. As a boy, he wasn’t able to make her stay. As a man, he might be her future.
If they can mend their rifts and find solace in the refrains.

Beautiful music together
I adored Quinn and Graham’s story.
It was developed in a rich history and deep dynamic with a past that they had to get through in order to build their present and future. It was beautiful!
Second Chances are the Best
One of the things I love about Devney Perry
Is her character development. From the start you know Quinn is a strong, determined woman who did everything to chase her dream. Throughout the story we get both Quinn and Graham’s point of view and a look at the events of the past as well as the present. This story is not just a second chance at romance. It is also a second chance for a family broken apart. From the beginning I was rooting for Quinn and Graham. You could tell there was so
Much love between them if they could just move past the hurt. Another bonus: Graham’s a single dad and his son Colin is adorable!!! Though this is book 2 in the Hush Nites series, it is a complete standalone.
Second chance, small town and rock star romance
Rifts and Refrains is my new favorite Rock Star romance! Quinn Montgomery left home at 18 determined to chase her dream. She left amid fighting, hard feelings and with a broken heart.
“Maybe it was destiny. We were always meant to walk different paths. Before, we were too young to understand it. But now . . .”
Quinn returns for the first time years later. She finds that although many things have changed, her feelings for Graham Hayes are as strong as ever, but the things that kept them apart are unchanged.
Second chance, small town and rock star romance all rolled up to make this a story I just loved from start to finish.
