Beautiful second chance romance!
I absolutely loved Right In Front of you by Lacey Silks. This is a fabulous friends to lovers romance that will put you on quite the emotional roller coaster, but it is worth every minute of it.
We first meet Carter and Molly in Yours and Mine and my heart was broken for Carter before I even started this amazing book. Both Carter and Molly have been friends since they were children. They loved each other before they even knew what love was, but time and circumstances never brought them together as more than friends. Molly is so strong and determined but so broken from the unthinkable she has endured her entire life. Carter has been her strength until he had his own demons to fight. At this point Molly became his strength and saving grace.
This book was a wonderful journey that showed that even through tragedy love can overcome all obstacles. I highly recommend this book!
Right in front of you
I did not like this book at all. I didn't like any of the characters. Molly was such a wimp. Why would she want to continue to protect a man who had abused her and continued to cause trouble in her life? He cowering was tiresome. I didn't like how easy it was for her to make Carter a part of her deceit...making the doctor think they were having sex and asking him to lie about the fire even though he wanted to be a firefighter and his dad was chief. Carter was just as stupid...he left a criminal unattended on the side of the road and then he dropped the gun after the shooting. Ugh!!!! I have no idea what anyone could get out of this book because it sends a bad message to people who are being abused.
