I’m not one of those girls who gets hot for dangerous men, but let me tell you, the shoulders on this guy… Looking at his hard, broad body makes me warm in all the wrong places.
He’s got a filthy mind and clever fingers, and he makes me dizzy when he touches me. I’m at his mercy, completely and utterly.
I’ve see another side of him, something unguarded and honorable. That side of him takes me and makes me his. But I can’t be his… not with the kind of life he leads, not with the kind of demons he has.
Oh, and I think I might be pregnant.
This a standalone romance novel with a HEA and no cliffhanger.

Ripper
The book was a good read overall. Some of the sex scenes were not necessary.
It was so amazing
I loved this book so much! And the reference to “Of Mice and Men” made me cry because that is my favorite book. All around a great story!
Kind of dumb
This book is kind of stupid. Like, all of the characters have a warped way of thinking. Shell being attracted to Cade and falling into bed with him right after he killed Larbi was just weird. And Cade becoming a contract killer instead of seeing a psychiatrist is just weird. And the sex after gruesome scenes was..you guessed it..weird and dumb. Shell
literally kissed Cade when he had blood splatter on him. Some of the sex scenes were just unnecessary. And what kind of adults over the age of 25 are so piss poor at communicating that they think that they’ve been rejected by one another, but they’re really in love? I know that this is a work of fiction, but this whole thing is too implausible for my taste. I read the whole thing, so I’ll leave some stars, but I constantly found myself commenting on how dumb this book was. And don’t get me started on Ice. He’s probably a psychopath and someone would have picked up on that when he was young, since he was in and out of the system. The likelihood of him avoiding prison and becoming an assassin are slim to none. And psychopaths typically don’t become attached to people the way that he was attached to Cade. Ugh
