Skip from chapter 10 to chapter 20
I have followed this series for years and have found it to be a very captivating read in books 1 through 7. Regrettably, I do not feel the same about book 8. Chapters 11 through 19 felt almost forced and dragged out with a level of detail that felt slightly forced. I feel that I still understood everything that was going on in the story by skipping from chapter 10 to chapter 20 with the light skimming in between. I very much hope that when/if we get another book in the series, it is able to bring back the magic of the previous books. Still one of my favorite series and authors.
Mysterious
The ending leaves me in suspense. I can’t wait to read the next book.

I love all of her books and this one is so well written and relates to 2020 and how crazy this year has been. Worth the wait! Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
