Rising

Heron's Cove is a quiet seaside town, where the sea has always carried its share of secrets, but on a sweltering July night, harbormaster Dale Pruitt notices something deeply wrong.

The crickets have stopped singing. The wind has gone still. And fog is rolling in against the current.

Then Dale sees something moving at the end of Pier Three: a pale, impossible figure emerging from the darkness. The harbormaster knows the old stories of Heron's Cove: drowned sailors, mournful mermaids, and ancient things said to sleep beneath the bay. He has always dismissed them as superstition... until tonight.

As the creature closes in, Dale discovers that some nightmares cannot be fought with bullets, and that the sea may be hiding something far older, and far more terrifying than anyone in Heron's Cove ever imagined.

Something is waking beneath the water, and it has been waiting for them.
