As good as the first
Amazing sequel. I loved the new character and it fit right in and explained a lot. All the questions kept me curious for more and the plot twist was amazing and shocked me in a good way. Writing is refined and easy to follow, but keeps you guessing the entire time.
A true MASTERPIECE
This book….I’m at a loss for words in the best way. This journey was like nothing you’ve ever been on and I’m in absolute love with it.
Disappointing after Shield of Sparrow
Disappointing after Shield of Sparrows. Shifts in chapters on characters were too quick quick. writing style stayed the same whether the first person narrator of Odessa, Caspia or even Ransom. Too much fantasy geography at the expense of character and relationship development. More clues throughout would enhance reader engagement on the history and sources of magic. The Prologue sets the stage for another book in the future. Hope it is better!
