Normally, Lydia Calloway only takes calculated risks. She is a woman in control. The venture begins when Lydia loses her job and is challenged to take a leap of faith. Thus, Lydia and Annie, her friend, decide to pursue their dream of converting her grandmother’s ranch into a Bed and Breakfast named Rivers Inn located in fictional Heron Valley. 


Although Lydia struggles spiritually with letting go, she has a heart for people and a gift for listening. Annie’s joyful, common sense approach to life is the ideal antidote for Lydia’s neurotic, yet comically endearing, bent. Together they form a team ready to carry out the Spirit’s call in everyday life.


Staci Hart lives with her husband in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She has two adult children. She has published Christian curriculums, professional social work articles, essays, and poetry.
