Robinson v. Hartzell Propeller

In this complex products liability case involving the tragic crash of a small passenger aircraft, we consider primarily the following issue of law: whether we may exercise appellate jurisdiction under the collateral order doctrine to review the denial of a motion for summary judgment on the basis that a statute of repose was inapplicable. We conclude that the District Courts order does not fall under the collateral order doctrine and will accordingly dismiss the appeal for lack of appellate jurisdiction.
