Funny and soul reaching
Enjoyed it, thanks for the story.
Exhausting
The main female character in this book is exhausting. (Not a spoiler, you learn in the first chapter) that she is abused. And it seems like nothing the main male character can do, is right. It takes forever to get to even their first kiss. I usually love the boss-secretary story, and after reading this author’s other work, I thought I’d be getting to the good stuff fast. But this one is just slow, it’s mentally exhausting listening to the main character make no progress, etc.
Good story but lacking
I'm sitting here wondering how much better this book could have been if the author knew how to write good sex scenes. I can honestly say that these were the most boring, bland and unimaginative ones I've ever read. And I would have appreciated more visual as far as their looks. She was blond and wore glasses. He was big. I never felt a connection. Too bad.
