Publisher Description
The Demon’s Wings were my saving grace. Lucy Thorton and her odd rocker family have become my own, embracing me at my darkest moment, giving me hope for my future..
Then came a blast from the past…
I never thought I would see Jace St. Charles again, but just as I began to settle into my new Californian life, there he was, being fawned over by every woman in his path.
Every woman, except me. I promised myself that.
Except- He doesn’t want them. He wants… Me.
Wants a second chance, with… me.
Try as I might, I cannot deny that I was not quite as immune to his charms as I wanted to be, but damn it, I was only human, and he was hell-bent on winning me back.
Customer Reviews
Emotionally Intense and Riveting! A must read!
Normally I find it quite easy to write a review. Words just flow based on the story I've absorbed into my overly stuffed brain. But as I sit staring at the screen, I find it challenging to come up with the right words for Rocking Kin. Please do not misunderstand me it is not that they're not there, it's just the level of emotion that our lovely author has evoked has left me . . . well, speechless. Rocking Kin was a brilliantly written piece of literature of epic proportions designed to bring a reader to their knees with the level of emotion Browning injects at each turn. A she did just that. Rocking Kin will ensnare you not letting you go from the moment your eyes touch the page.
This story is all about Kin and Jace. A couple who knew each other in Virginia and through unforeseen circumstances ended up going their separate ways. In other words he left and she was broken hearted. Fast forward to them both being in the same location now and Kin is uncomfortable in her new surroundings. Her heart is breaking with the reality of how much her life has changed in such a short period of time. The only bright spot she has is Lucy Thornton. The daughter of Layla and Jessie Thornton the drummer for Demon's Wings. I love the connection between Lu and Kin. These two just make you smile from the very beginning. No matter what the circumstances.
Browning does a fantastic job tugging your heart strings throughout this book. You will feel every range of emotion from hurt, anger, lust, panic, rage, you name it and you'll feel it. It's one big emotional roller coaster ride right from the start. I will say I was hoping to have a little more closure when it came to Kin's father. Don't get me wrong it didn't detract from the story in any way shape or form. I just felt like there were some unanswered questions left on the home front when it came to that whole side of the family.
The connection between Jace and Kin was undeniable from the beginning it's clear they are meant to be together. It was a bittersweet how everything played out. I truly cannot wait for the next book in the series to see what happens with Lucy and Harris. Don't miss your chance to read this emotionally intense, riveting new novella!
