Good info; scan could be better
The book is really high-quality has great pictures and great information on the types of rocks and minerals that you might come across. However, the scan and OCR seems to be poor quality. I cannot highlight any text to define words or to apply highlighting to it and text seems to inconsistently be selectable; the scanning process and OCR process should’ve been done better.
A rock-hounder’s must have!
I’m leaving this review because the book should have way more higher rating than what is shown on the app. If you are into rock hounding and identifying stones, this book is for you. It basically summarizes all the books ( and scattered information) I had to research and read before I could feel comfortable identifying my specimens -which has allowed me to also properly handle and care for them-. I have the digital version but will definitely try to get the hard copy. That being said, regardless of your level of experience, definitely give this a go!
