A New York Times Bestseller
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Julia Quinn comes the story of Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, in the fourth of her beloved Regency-set novels featuring the charming, powerful Bridgerton family, now a series created by Shondaland for Netflix.
COLIN AND PENELOPE’S STORY
Penelope Featherington has secretly adored her best friend’s brother for . . . well, it feels like forever. After half a lifetime of watching Colin Bridgerton from afar, she thinks she knows everything about him, until she stumbles across his deepest secret . . . and fears she doesn’t know him at all.
Colin Bridgerton is tired of being thought of as nothing but an empty-headed charmer, tired of the notorious gossip columnist Lady Whistledown, who can’t seem to publish an edition without mentioning him. But when Colin returns to London from a trip abroad, he discovers nothing in his life is quite the same—especially Penelope Featherington! The girl who was always simply there is suddenly the girl haunting his dreams. When he discovers that Penelope has secrets of her own, this elusive bachelor must decide . . . is she his biggest threat— or his promise of a happy ending?
Customer Reviews
I Love This Book!
Colin is my favorite Bridgerton, therefore, I absolutely loved reading this book. He and Penelope are very likable characters. Readers finally learn who the gossip columnist Lady Whistledown is.
Ever wonder how we choose our spouses?
If men only married beautiful and perfectly formed women (and I've learned men have a very and varied definition of that!), very few of us would be married. Here is a book that sheds some light on that mysterious process--it's all about how the one makes the other feel. Looks fade, character lasts forever--and certainly for 12 years! How I have enjoyed Penelope's character in this series, from when she was first that "citrus fruit" at the masquerade. Brava!! Enjoy!
Boring
The Storyline I felt was really boring. I enjoyed the little romance that was put in there but there wasn't much. I found myself skipping through a lot of until finally I just had to put it down as I just couldn't stay interested :-(
