Roses from My Killer
Lanier’s Miranda Steele and Wade Parker are well-drawn, very likable characters and her books are a perfect rainy day read. Having said that, I miss the development of those characters as the series progresses. The stories have become very fast paced, essentially eliminating the character developing scenes the earlier books excelled at. And, the secondary characters that were part of the Steele/Parker world are nearly irrelevant in this book, as in distinct as scenes from a moving train.
However, though it had less depth and color than its predecessors, Roses from My Killer, was nonetheless entertaining and I’m looking forward to #12 in this series.
