Loved Reed and Harper
Rough and Ready by Vanessa Vale was a well written book with some very intriguing characters . This story touched my heart and I truly loved Reed and Harper. This was a story with danger, friendships, action and most definitely love. Reed Johnson is a rough and tough bad boy who survived the streets but now he is fighting only in the ring. Harper Lane is his new neighbor who is running from a dangerous past. When they meet you can feel the chemistry.
In my personal opinion the story flowed well and kept me hooked till the very end. I absolutely loved this story and I highly recommend this. book.
Enjoyed the story
I enjoyed Reed and Harper’s story of how two people from extremely different economic backgrounds shared a common factor in that neither of them had been valued by their family. Harper is in danger and Reed is determined to protect her at all costs, especially after hearing how she has suffered by her brother’s actions. There is danger and some unexpected assistance. Finally, a HEA but a lot happens first. It is a good story with strong characters who also have a vulnerable side which adds to the story. It is a story worth reading.

I love this pair!
I will read anything Vanessa Vale writes, because I know I’m in for a great story and enticing characters. I thought I was getting a cowboy book, judging by the cover, but actually, Reed is an MMA fighter, which is not my usual hero choice. But now I’m thinking it ought to be. For as much as he’s extremely intense while training and fighting (which we don’t actually “see” in the story), this alpha is protective as all get out! He feels the fear coming from her when they first meet, but mistakes it for fear of him. Far from it. While he may intimidate her because of everything going on in her life, she still wants to reach out and hold onto him. Rough and Ready grabbed me from page one and didn’t let me go. While Ms. Vale writes some seriously hot smexy stuff, she never skimps on emotional bonds and fantastic dialogue. I missed book one of this series, but I’ve already downloaded it to read soon. New and seasoned fans are in for a treat with this pair of lovers.
