Rough and Tender

Adventurer, Eben St. Claire is headed home from the Lewis and Clark Expedition when he stumbles upon a dying Frenchman.  The man is desperate to find someone trustworthy to take care of his daughter.  Intent upon building a horse-breeding empire, Eben is reluctant to be saddled with a stripling child, even for the week it would take him to reach civilization.  Then, the man makes an offer Eben can't in good conscience, refuse.  A small fortune for seeing the little girl to safety.  Only Raven Delacour is not the child that Eben assumes.  She is a backwoods beauty with a mind and a will of her own.  Resisting the tender temptress's charms proves impossible for the rough frontiersman.
