Publisher Description
This is Kristoffer's story... third book in the Iced Series.
Roughing: Called when a player strikes another opponent in a minor altercation that the referee determines is not worthy of a major penalty.
I'm Kristoffer Halvorson, right wing and team captain for the Austin Amurs. Roughing is my penalty. It's not like I plan to do it, but hockey is a rough sport.
Hockey is everything. From the minute my four-year-old feet hit the ice, I was all in and it hasn't changed since. Nothing else matters as long as there's a stick in my hands and a puck in my sights.
Until Zoey.
She was my friend's girl, and even though he's gone, she should be off-limits.
Except I took her into my home, married her, and promised to take care of her. Little did I know, she came with more baggage than either of us expected. Now I'm mixed up in something so dark it may end not only my career, but my life.
I'll pull out all the stops to protect what's mine. Things are about to get rough, but I'm not letting her go.

Third hockey book
Loved getting my hockey fix with this trilogy!
Sweet and Smexy Read!!
Hooking is such a fantastic, sweet, and super smexy read!! Hooking is the third book in Kristine Allen’s Icing Series. It is a fake marriage standalone, but has characters from the other books in the Iced Series as well as her RBMC series. When Kristoffer goes to check on his deceased buddy’s girl, he’s completely surprised when he finds a hugely pregnant woman living in a rundown apartment on the dangerous side of town. When he forces Zoey to move in with him and then to marry him so he can take care of her, the last thing he expects is to develop feelings for her.
This story was absolutely wonderful! The well written the the plot was great with some romantic suspense elements as well. I wish I could say that the circumstances that Zoey found herself in were fantastical, but it really isn’t. I thought Kristine did a fantastic job explaining the minefield that some service members’ loved ones can find themselves in if not legally married. Zoey is really relatable as just a girl trying to get by the best she can against all the bad luck that’s been thrown her way. She’s hardworking and is really missing having a human connection. Kristoffer is awesome. He’s hot and sweet and just really wants to take care of this girl. He doesn’t understand his possessiveness and how their pull toward each other. There is a ton of chemistry between the two of them and their smexy times are super 🔥🔥🔥. All around great read and it was awesome to catch up with some of the guys from the RBMC!!

Can’t get enough of this hockey team!
Can’t get enough of this hockey team! Kristoffer has a huge secret that he’s keeping not only from the team, but all his friends and family – he’s married, and his wife is pregnant and going into labor! Backtracking, we get to know the back story of what happened and find that Kristoffer tracked down his childhood best friend’s girl, Zoey, and is horrified at what he finds. Zoey has continued to find herself down on her luck, after getting pregnant by her best friend after a one-night stand, and then him passing away and her having to move to a bad part of town and losing her job due to her pregnancy, she’s shocked to find Kristoffer at her place, and she doesn’t take kindly to him demanding she relocate to Austin and stay with him. But when a drive-by shooting happens, both of them realize that he’s right and Zoey packs up her stuff and moves in with Kristoffer. Fighting the feelings, they both have for each other, as they start to know each other and what happened between Zoey and Kristoffer’s best friend, we see that they are perfect for each other, and I rooted for them and her HEA so bad! When the babies are born, things get a little strained, especially when his best friend’s past comes back to haunt Zoey, but thankfully Kristoffer calls in reinforcements before it happens, and they are able to save Zoey before she makes a huge mistake. I can’t wait to see who’s next to fall from this team!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
