For U.S. Navy SEAL, Bowie “Ruckus” Cooper, going on a mission into the most dangerous place on earth wasn’t new, neither were the orders to tag and bag an international criminal, but when Bowie finds a captive American reporter, that wasn’t exactly run of the mill. Neither was getting separated from his team, teaming up with her or protecting her against all odds, while working to keep his hands from around her neck and off her delectable body.
Fearless and bold photojournalist, Dana Sorenson never backed down from a fight or to showcase her dedication to reporting on the human condition. That’s what she thought until she meets Bowie and big, bad, and tough takes on a whole new meaning. Gratitude for saving her ass gets lost in his demanding orders and fighting for her life takes a back seat to falling for this alpha male who’ll risk everything to see her safe.

Sigh. I totally enjoyed this.
Not for me
This unfortunately did not really work for me. Bowie and Dana were okay as characters, but the chemistry felt off between the two of them. At the beginning of the book some of Bowie's internal dialogue was inappropriate for their situation. Then there was his insistence on calling her cupcake even when she asked him not to in order to annoy her. Plus, it stretched credulity for them to be running for their lives from drug runners through the jungle and they stop to have sex. What?!?! That seriously makes no sense. Also, the ending with Bowie's mom felt too nonsensical to be realistic. One meeting and all of the pain and bad feelings are just over? The whole "solution" just felt rushed and not well thought out. Since I seem to be in the minority maybe this book just wasn't for me. YMMV

Good story
I liked all the action and the characters. The military angle was interesting and kept me on edge until the end. Great read.
