Two HOT cowboys. Two tough-as-spurs heroines. These two previously published, newly revised and expanded, smoking hot stories by #1 New York Times bestselling author Lora Leigh will leave readers breathless and begging for more!
COWBOY AND THE CAPTIVE
Melina is one of two gorgeous twin daughters, the clever and considerate one who always spared her parents the humiliation of what her sister Maria had wrought. But now, Melina is finally ready to stand up for herself and seize control of her life?until she is kidnapped by a cowboy, named Jardin, who is dead-set on settling the score with her family. There’s only one catch: In capturing Melina, this tough, rough, hunk of a man has actually found a way to unleash her greatest fantasies, body and soul. . .
COWBOY AND THE THIEF
Beautiful, spirited Angel Manning has always longed to experience the power of her ancestors’ most precious heirloom. Her mother once told her that the legendary Irish torque would lead Angel to the one man worthy of possessing her heart. But when Angel learns that her father, now a widower, has sold the torque to the notorious two-timer Jack Riley, she is furious. Of course she plans to take back what is rightfully hers, by whatever means necessary. But the fate of the ancient Druids works in mysterious ways. . .Could it be that this slick, smooth-talking cowboy was destined to satisfy Angel’s deepest desires all along?
In this pair of erotic novellas, Leigh delivers the trademark mix of sex and violence that powers her novels, but she skimps on characterization and plot. In the first story, Texas cowboy Lucas Jardin wants to punish Maria Angeles for getting his best friend, Jack Riley, shot by drug runners. But instead of kidnapping Maria, he grabs Melina, her innocent twin, who is done with bailing her sister out of trouble. Melina is supposed to be gutsy and strong, but every encounter emphasizes her fragility and powerlessness. She needs constant rescuing, and her defiance just inflames Luc's lust rather than empowering her. The sex is raunchy with a hint of violence and some references to rape that emphasize Melina's victimhood (and do nothing for Luc's appeal). The second novella takes Jack Riley to Ireland, where Angel Manning is scoffing at the family legend of an heirloom that holds druid magic for finding soulmates. When Jack buys the heirloom, Angel follows him to Texas to steal it back. The plot makes no sense but it gets them in the same house for steamy encounters. Both couples are constantly tearing each other's clothes off or about to, which can be plenty hot, but Leigh doesn't deliver on either story line.

With this one you get two steamy stories in one. Two hot cowboys that are hard to resist even if they have kidnapped you! Both stories have adventure, mystery, and a whole lot of passion. They are both well written and even though these are shorter stories, I felt like I really knew these characters. I highly recommend this one.
Sparks a flying!
Cowboy and The Captive:
This is an enemies to lovers and a mistaken identity situation. Melina has a twin sister, Maria who is addicted to drugs. Her parents keep guilting Melina into impersonating Maria when she gets caught to get her out of trouble. The problem is Maria is getting in worse situations that Melina can't talk her way out of and it's going to cost her her life.
Luc has been buying his time until he can seek revenge on Maria for almost getting him and his friend, Jack killed. Luc doesn't want to hurt her, but he thinks he can straighten her up by kidnapping her and making her detox. What he doesn't know is that he kidnaps Melina instead of Maria.
Luc and Melina's story was very entertaining. Lora Leigh has no problems with letting the sparks fly between her main characters. I really enjoyed this one.
Cowboy and The Thief:
Enemies to lovers trope. Jack is visiting his old friend Joseph in Ireland when he meets his daughter, Angel. Angel is very prim and proper with a hidden temper underneath and no one can get her riled faster than Jack.
Joseph is conspiring to get Jack and Angel together and he takes a risk by selling a family heirloom to Jack that is legend to be responsible for granting true love to the daughters in the line. Angel is furious and follows him back to Texas to try and steal it back.
Once again, Lora Leigh had the sparks flying in this short novella but I will admit I was a bit confused in the beginning. I couldn't tell if Jack and Angel had already known each other or had just met. I felt like I was missing the true beginning of the story. Still a very entertaining read!
