My only goal is to earn back Julie’s trust, to protect her against forces still hell-bent on keeping us apart.


My supposed best friend remains a threat by wanting what’s mine. He has made no secret about his intentions toward Julie—that was his first mistake. His second mistake is underestimating me, thinking there’s a chance I’ll let him lay a hand on her. Truth is, I’ll kill him first.
