The challenge will be avoiding the very real feelings neither of us see coming.

Fake dating done oh so right!
One of favorite tropes brought to the small town of Dogwood Cove. The town where there’s not near enough eligible bachelors for Mila to even begin to look beyond her bakery & expansion cafe. She’s worked hard to get to where she’s at, & she wants to honor the memory of her mother. But with her friends & brother constantly on her back about her workaholic tendencies, something has to give! Enter stage right, sexy new town veterinarian, Jackson Holt.
When Milo, Mila’s new charge & a stray, needs some medical attention, Mila trip to the vet is slotted on the new doctor’s schedule. As these two work together to help heal Milo, they find themselves quickly becoming easy friends. But Jackson has a past he wants to escape, & he finds that Dogwood Cove might be the perfect place for that! But is a job enough to keep him in town for the long haul?
As circumstances occur, this duo strikes a deal of fake dating that is beneficial to both parties. But when lines get crossed, boundaries become blurred and limits have to be set. And watching these two flub around each other as feelings grow deeper was hot and sweet all at the same time.
Audiobook Review:
Heather Firth & Neill Thorne were both new to me narrators, I believe. They both did an excellent job of drawing me in to the story & the emotions of their respective characters.
Very graphic sex scenes
Good characters. Good plot when the author could keep then out of the bedroom, kitchen, shower. You get the idea. Made me wonder just how frustrated she must be. Either that or totally exhausted. WAY too much & WAY too graphic. Oh, & before I forget, the f bomb explodes all over this book. It’s my 1st & last from this author for me. But, at least you’ll know what to expect if you buy this one.
