Loved it
The art style wasn’t what I was expecting but I fell in love with it almost instantly. I truly feel that this art style reflects the style of the show, a mix of manga and western cartoon! I appreciated the recap of events, with a hint of what’s to come next. The writing truly felt like we were hearing it from Ruby! It’s a nice bit of content for any RWBY fan, and anyone looking to get into RWBY who doesn’t already watch the show.
The Beginning
As a fan of the web series, I absolutely loved this issue. We basically got a rundown of the events through the first three volumes and necessary world building. My only complaint is that for someone who has never seen the series this could be a little exposition heavy, but it is serving as an epilogue and I’m sure things will only pick up from here!
